The Sporting Spectacle of Event Signage (at the ESPYs)

Posted on November 18, 2015

Many of the biggest stars in sports and entertainment gathered in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater to celebrate the biggest sports stories of the year at the 2015 ESPYS on Wednesday, July 15. Also putting in a stellar performance were trade show and event materials created by Image360!

Who Was There – The ESPYs

A good step & repeat banenr features logos large enough to read but small enough to appear.

Us Magazine reports on the dozens of high-powered celebrities that were in attendance at this year’s ESPY’s. Each makes their photo appearance in front of a Step & Repeat banner  featuring the event logo and this year’s sponsor, Capital One. One example is pictured at right. Frequently used at red carpet events such as this one and also at fashion shows, product launches and other special occasions, step-and-repeat banners are a great way to promote your company’s name and identity – especially at venues which draw media attention as well as on-site visitors.

What about the After Party? – The ESPYs

BizBash included photos of the Official ESPN After Party at the JW Marriott Hotel in the Microsoft Theater in a story on the best marketing ideas of the week, and we surely won’t argue. Though there were many after parties for the event scattered throughout LA, from company sponsored events to individual celebrities hitting the area bars, the ESPYs’ own after party was the headliner.

Image360 made sure that the Microsoft Theater was replete with ESPYs branding from Vinyl Graphics to specialty displays. When an event is sure to be as busy as that after party was, it’s important to make sure that branding is highly visible but still fits in with the overall feel of the event. Image360 was able to help JW Marriott accomplish just that in a form that could be easily broken down so the hotel was ready for the next event.

What does the host say – The ESPYs

ESPYs Branding Vinyl GraphicSee for yourself. ESPN has an entire website dedicated solely to the event, including recognition of the branding, sponsors and graphics found throughout the week long calendar. One of the elements Image360 focused on was vinyl graphics that captured the feel of the event – fun and festive, but also professional and contemporary. Gradient color or semi-transparent vinyl graphics  created the appropriate look and feel, and made it easy to distinguish areas of the hotel that were a part of the proceedings.

All told, the event was as wildly popular as ever, and the graphics supplied by Image360 once again made headlines for the event.
